People Are Becoming So Open Minded Their Brains Are Falling Out

Purdue University officials were unhappy with the amount backlash they received last year for renaming a Christmas tree a "holiday" tree, so they tried again this year to see if they could enrage even more people. It seems at P.U., holiday tree doesn't properly convey just how much they would like to strip Christmas from the Christmas season. Running out of politically correct words to describe a "non-Christmas Tree" Christmas Tree the brain trust at Purdue huddled around and came up with "unity Tree."

Oh, the warmth I feel in heart when I look at the unity tree. Nothing says religious cleansing quite like an unity tree.

"We're just calling it the Union tree," said Margie Stoltz, program adviser at Purdue Memorial Union. "We really try to incorporate celebrations from around the world here." What other religious holiday is celebrated by a pine tree always put up in December, Margie?

It is my belief the harder people try to extract Christianity from Christmas the more attention they actually draw to the fact is it a religious holiday. Do me a favor. Go up to a child this Christmas and tell them that the pine tree they have in the house is a very nice "unity" tree. And yes the stupid look they give is an accurate description of how out of control the politically correct movement has gotten.

"Nice unity tree."

"It's a Christmas tree."

"No unity tree"

"It IS a Christmas tree, are you stupid?"

"We don't say the word stupid Timmy, and it is an unity tree."

"It is a Christmas tree and not a stupid unity tree, boogerhead."

"See Timmy this is the kind of attitude a Christmas tree brings and why we are now celebrating around an unity tree."

"It is a Christmas Tree (times infinity)." [sticks tongue out] "Mom! This crazy man it scaring me."
