Odds And Ends

Barack Obama might want to stop trying to straddle fences with he legs so far apart next time, because he might start walking funny. It seems Obama thinks a filibuster on Judge Alito would have been a good idea, but at the same time he doesn't believe Democrats made a convincing case to the American public they [the senate Democrats] should be able to filibuster Alito's confirmation.

Huh?

Hell, Ted Kennedy was close to tears yesterday wanting to know why we are in such a hurry to confirm Alito? Why? Because it has been almost two months since Bush announced Alito as a nominee. Believe me, Ted, if you haven't found any dirt that sticks with the American public by now, you aren't going to find any. Pssst...Ted...in case you didn't know...the Supreme Court nomination process isn't suppose to be a political campaign, which is what the Democrats truly want more time for and you know it.

Besides, a Supreme Court shift to the ideological right just puts the high court more in balance with the average American instead of the radical left. It is time to get off the political fringes.
